Tax Deductions

The Mary Claire Satterly Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). You can view our 501(c)(3) documentation and Mission Statement on our Documents page.  All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and you will receive a receipt in the mail for tax purposes.  

Spirited Living, Inspired Giving

The Mary Claire Satterly Foundation donates all proceeds to spread “MCSpirit!” to others. The Foundation's first of many goals is to establish the Mary Claire Satterly Pediatric Oncology Playroom in the new Cancer Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. With your help in building this Playroom, sick children can just be children, something so dear to Mary Claire.  Regardless of the size of your contribution, we are grateful for your gift.  There are many different ways that you can help support the MCS Foundation:

Donate Stocks or Mutual Funds:  Donating common stock or mutual funds is a wonderful way to support the MCS Foundation.  If you are interested in donating stock, please click here to contact us.

Community Initiatives:  From running a race so that 100% of your proceeds go to the MCSF(click here for ex.) or to organizing a special fundraiser, there are many creative ways to support the MCS Foundation.  For more information or ideas, contact us.

Memorials and or Tribute Donations:  Make a special gift in memory of a loved one or help celebrate a joyous occasion by making a tribute donation.  For more information or ideas, contact us.  We will notify the person or persons you request of your generous gift, without disclosing the specific amount.  Additionally, you will receive a separate acknowledgement letter noting the amount of your gift for tax purposes.

Corporate/Workplace Sponsorship/Partners:  Become a corporate partner, a major program or event sponsor, or even specify the Mary Claire Satterly Foundation as your charity of choice in your workplace giving campaigns.  For more info, contact us.
